I opened a Facebook account recently because so many internet information pages are easily accessed via Facebook.  Usuallly, I get all the socializing I need from Judy's Facebook pages, but I'll try  my own pages for awhile - just for the experience.

Thursday, Judy & I will go to Natchez, MS to drive the Natchez Trace which will take us 444 miles North to Nashville, TN.  We will read and experience a part of history that was not covered very well during my schooling.  I know the history taught - in the South - was probably not any more biased than it is today.  It was just expedient to pick & choose those topics that were important to - the South.

This trip will be deliberately slow with frequent stops so that we can read all the signs adjacent to all the historical sites.  There will also be fish to catch, short trails to walk and some very interesting restaurants to visit.

Missing my girls something fierce today.  Sometimes I would give anything to be able to go pick all three up and go out to a restaurant and eat, laugh, and visit.  I miss them greatly at times but then I sit back and go over good memories of them when we did laugh and have a good time.  I am a very lucky mom to have the girls I have!!!  I hope they all have those good memories that they can lean on when they miss their kids and get all teary eyed!

I had a migraine last night and a headache today that did worry me but got better after 3 ibuprofen so felt better.

Karl and Elissa found out yesterday that they did get their house and will move into it the end of the month.  I am so happy for them.  The teachers had a shower for her today and they received many nice baby gifts.

Well I rattled enough---I love you girls!!!!!!

I don't know what I am really getting myself into but what the heck??  I like to rattle on about not much of anything so I feel I will do just fine!  I hope to put our travels and some pictures on this blog along with many of my crazy thoughts and ambitions.  Great recipes for my family to try and of course all the wonderful things about my two grandsons and three granddaughters with a new little grandson on the way---Oh what more could I ask for?  I am hoping to get Dave to add his thoughts along the way.  He is the one who should be writing as he has the skills for it and usually has something quite meaning full to say.  We leave the end of the month for the Natchez Trace for a week.  We have our wonderful dog sitter coming to stay with our dog boys. I am looking forward to this trip as this is a trip that Dave has always wanted to do and now is the time to do it!  We have no definite plans and will make them as we go.  This is my favorite way of doing things as that is when you find surprises along the way.  We learned this the last time we came home from Florida and just meandered through the country and saw things we thought we would never see.
